A Sounding Dictionary of Local dialects (Sub-dialects)

of the Northern Selkups

A Sounding Dictionary of Local dialects (Sub-dialects) of the Northern Selkups is being compiled within the project “Local dialects of the Northern Selkups: a contrastive description and a data base of sound files” with financial support of the Russian Fundamental Research Support Foundation, grant N 01-06-80363. That is a three year project (2001-2003). Now the second stage of the project has been realized. One of the results of this stage is the compilation of the Sounding Dictionary of the three sub-dialects: the Middle-Taz, the Upper-Taz and the Upper-Pur. A demo version of this dictionary is presented here.
